Lieutenant-Commander Harry Alan Pelham, R.N. (29 April, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of The Hon. V. A. Pelham of the 9th Lancers, retired.

Pelham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1913.

Pelham was appointed in command of the destroyer Nautilus on 26 June, 1918.[1]

Post-War

Pelham passed a school of oriental languages examination on 30 July 1920, having spent six months in Japan studying the language.

Pelham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 39 October, 1921. He failed to report at Chatham Barracks in mid February 1922 after being appointed on 7 January. Warrants were issued for his arrest, but there is no indication he ever turned up. His name was removed from the Navy List on 6 July, 1922.
