Commander (emergency) Harald Edward Wharton, R.N. (31 May, 1887 – 18 September, 1947) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Wharton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1909.
Wharton was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 110 on 13 September, 1912.[1]
Transferred to the Emergency List on 6 January, 1914.
Wharton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1917.
Wharton was appointed in command of the destroyer Defender on 13 December, 1918.[2]
World War II
Wharton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 May, 1946. He was placed on the Retired List on 27 June, 1946.
