H.M. T.B. 83 was one of six first-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 82 class.

Service

In 1895, she was one of twenty-three torpedo boats of at least 125 feet in length stationed in Portsmouth along with four smaller ones.[5]

One source indicates that she was sold to Brand on 12 October, 1919,[6] but according the the Navy List in January, 1921, she was at the Nore under a C. & M. party, temporarily working with the Nore Local Defence Flotilla.[7]
