H.M. T.B. 6 (1879)
Builder: John I. Thornycroft & Company[1]
Ordered: 3 October, 1877[2]
Launched: 1879[3]
Completed: 1879[4]
Sold: 1906[5]
H.M. T.B. 6 was one of 19 first-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 1 class.

Service

In 1881, there were twenty first-class torpedo boats in all.  T.B. 6 was not fitted for Whitehead torpedoes, and was one of three boats serving out of Chatham. There was some noted lethargy in getting these boats all armed.[6]

In 1895, she was one of four first-class T.B.s stationed at the Cape of Good Hope.[7]

She was sold at the Cape in 1906.[8]

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.
