H.M. T.B. 46 (1886)
Builder: John I. Thornycroft & Company[1]
Ordered: 30 April/1 May, 1885[2]
Launched: 4 January, 1886[3]
Broken up: 1920[4]
H.M. T.B. 46 was one of 53 first-class torpedo boats of the 125 Footer class.

Service

In 1895, she was one of ten first-class torpedo boats stationed in Malta.[5]

Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 046.[6]

During a cruise from Port Said to Mudros in late 1915, T.B. 046 ran out of coal and had to be taken in tow. Unfortunately she was subsequently wrecked at Lemnos on 27 December, 1915 while still under tow. She was later salvaged at returned to service.[7][8]

She was sold for scrapping in 1920.[9]
