In mid-1913, active with the Third Destroyer Flotilla.[8]

On 28 April, 1915, as Wolverine was working as a high speed minesweeper in the Dardanelles area, Commander Osmond J. Prentis was killed by a shell which struck her bridge.[9] He was succeeded in command by Lieutenant-Commander Adrian St. Vincent Keyes, who would continue to lead Wolverine in vital support work on the left side of the operational area.

At Suvla Bay on 6-7 August, 1915, Wolverine worked with five other Beagles and Arno to tow troop barges in.[10]

Two men died when she sank after a collision off Northwest Ireland.[11]
