H.M.S. Wanderer was one of fifteen destroyers of the Modified "W" class. She was not completed before the end of the war.

Service

Wanderer was commissioned on 1 September, 1919.[8] Another source gives her completion date as 18 September.[9]

She was re-commissioned on 6 July, 1923 to serve with the Third Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]

She re-commissioned at Malta on 29 January, 1927 for service with the Third Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[11]

She was re-commissioned on 16 October, 1928 to serve with the Third Destroyer Flotilla, this time back in the Mediterranean.[12]

Reduced to Maintenance Reserve at Rosyth on 22 September, 1930.[13]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 10 March, 1937.[14]
