H.M.S. Vivacious was one of twenty-five "V" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.

Service

In January, 1918, Vivacious joined the Eleventh Destroyer Flotilla – that formation's first "V" class destroyer.[5]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 18 December, 1920.[6]

She was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 6 June, 1924 for service with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[7]

The ship was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 25 January, 1927 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[8]

Vivacious was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 11 June, 1929 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean. She was paid off into Dockyard Control at Sheerness on 21 October, 1930.[9]

She was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 29 December, 1931.[10]

She paid off into Maintenance Reserve at Portsmouth on 11 August, 1933.[11]
