H.M.S. Verdun was one of twenty-five "V" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.

Service

Verdun was completed/commissioned on either 16 October, 1917[5] or 3 November.[6]

She was assigned to the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla in October.[7]

Verdun was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 4 December, 1923.[8]

She was re-commissioned with Reserve Crew on 23 November, 1925.[9]

She re-commissioned with Reserve Crew at Sheerness on 15 September, 1926.[10]

Verdun commissioned on 18 November, 1927.[11]
