H.M.S. Tormentor was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

In 1918, Tormentor collided with Walker, and Lieutenant-Commander Percy John Helyar was told to be more careful in future.

Tormentor completed to Reduced Complement on 4 December, 1919.[8]

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.

A Lt. Cdr. "H. E. Randall" was appointed in command on 29 October, 1927 and was then to transfer to Whitley, but I am unable to identify him.[19]
