H.M.S. Shark (1894)
Builder: Thomson[1]
Ordered: 1893-94[2]
Laid down: 14 Feb, 1894[3]
Launched: 22 Sep, 1894[4]
Commissioned: 14 Jan, 1896[5]
Broken up: 1911[6]

H.M.S. Shark was one of forty-two "A" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "27 knotter".

Like many of her sisters, she was broken up before the war.

Service

Though his service record indicates he was in command of Teviot at the time, Commander Hubert Searle Cardale was blamed for grounding Shark 25 January, 1908. Cardale removed from command of Teviot four days later.[7]
