H.M.S. Searcher was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Searcher reduced to Reserve Fleet at Devonport on 18 November, 1919.[6]

Searcher reduced to Reserve Fleet at Devonport on 14 August, 1920.[7]

Searcher was re-commissioned at Devonport on 6 October, 1927 and placed under command of Brownlow Villiers Layard for passage to Rosyth.[8][9]
