Torpedoed: 24 Aug, 1940[4]
H.M.S. Penzance was one of five Hastings Class sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport on 15 January, 1931 for service in the Persian Gulf,[5] where she remained until at least early 1933.[6]

Re-commissioned on 1 July, 1933.[7]

Re-commssioned at Aden on 29 November, 1935.[8]
