H.M.S. Norfolk was one of two Norfolk Class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport on 14 May, 1930 for service with the Second Cruiser Squadron in the Atlantic Fleet.[6]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 6 September, 1932 for service on the America and West Indies Station, bearing Commander-in-Chief Vice-Admiral Drax.[7]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 22 January, 1935 under Flag Captain Louis Henry Keppel Hamilton for service on the America and West Indies Station, bearing Commander-in-Chief Vice-Admiral Rose.[8]
