H.M.S. Nizam was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

Joined the Fourteenth Destroyer Flotilla, which was screening the Grand Fleet, upon her completion in mid-1916.

Some time in 1918, a torpedo ran hot in "B" tube.[6]

Some time between August and October of 1918 saw her move to the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla, which was augmenting Devonport Defence under orders of the Commander-in-Chief, Devonport. This flotilla had a strength of over 45 destroyers.
