H.M.S. Morris was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

She fought at the Battle of Jutland with the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla under Lieutenant-Commander Edward S. Graham, one of six Harwich Force destroyers screening the Second Battle Cruiser Squadron.[6]

She fought at the Action of 23 July, 1916, a running night action where she pursued a superior force of German destroyers.

Reduced to C. & M. Party at Devonport, 15 October, 1919.[7]

Alterations

In 1915 or 1916, she was one of sixteen light cruisers and destroyers to trial a Wise Pressure Telegraphy System Type B for torpedo control.[17]
