The ship was re-commissioned at Trincomalee on 10 January, 1889.[6]

She returned to Devonport from a long patrol at the East India Station, which resulted in prize money awards, and paid off on 23 March 1892.[7]

The Henry Warren Village Hall in Nyewood, West Sussex holds the ship's bell, which was purchased from the Admiralty when the ship was scrapped in Blyth in 1929. As of 2022 the bell is being installed in the replacement village hall.[8]
