H.M.S. Lupin was one of thirty-six Arabis Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Lupin was paid off on 29 November, 1920.[6]

She was re-commissioned at Sheerness on 24 July, 1924.[7] The ship would serve in the Persian Gulf from 1924 until going to the Red Sea in October 1930.[8]

Lupin was re-commissioned at Bombay on 21 November, 1928 for service in the East Indies.[9]

She was re-commissioned at Malta on 29 October, 1930.[10]

In late 1931, Lupin returned home from the Red Sea Division to be placed in reserve, her place to be taken by Penzance.[11]

The ship commissioned at Portsmouth on 21 February, 1933 for service in the East Indies.[12]

Lupin re-commissioned at Bombay on 8 March, 1935.[13]

The sloop was commissioned at Sheerness on 17 April, 1936.[14]
