H.M.S. Harpenden was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

She paid off on 21 January, 1920.[7]

In January, 1921, she was one of six paddle minesweepers allocated to the Central Reserve of Minesweepers, along with thirty-four twin screw minesweepers, all under C. & M. parties.[8]

Paid off in charge of a C. & M. Party on 6 December, 1922.[9]
