Service
Commander Maquay brought the ship back to Devonport. From July 1878, she spent some period of time out of commission there before being commissioned on 1 January, 1880.
She was re-commissioned at Bermuda on 25 April, 1883.[5]
In 1887, she was inactive in Devonport.
She was temporarily loaned to the Australian Navy during the Great War.
