H.M.S. Escort was one of eighteen "E" and "F" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Chatham on 6 November, 1934 with the crew of H.M.S. Versatile.[3]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 30 April, 1935 for service with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[4]
