Service
Having been worked up through trials by Lt. Cdr. Arthur R. M. Black, Diana was commissioned at Chatham on 29 December, 1932 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean under Cdr. Gerald M. B. Langley.[3]
The ship was commissioned at Chatham on 25 October, 1934 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[4]
She was re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 15 October, 1936 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[5]
