H.M.S. Colne was one of 36 destroyers of the "River" class.

Service

In mid-1913, she was serving in the Mediterranean.[8]

Under the command of Claude Seymour, on 8 March, 1915, Colne was among several destroyers that went to the aid of the mined battleship Ocean, seeing Chelmer rescue 500 men.[9]

Radio

In 1909, she became one of forty-three destroyers so far fitted with Destroyer Sets.[10]
