Career

A navigating party formed from the nucleus crew of Amphitrite, with other ratings, left Chatham on 16 February, 1907, to crew Cochrane for her acceptance trial.[2]

Alterations

An order for a design for a director system for Cochrane was issued 22 February, 1915, and an order for its manufacture given 26 August, 1916. Priorities for director fittings were such that it was only made available in November 1918 and never actually installed.[3]
