Service

She paid off at Portsmouth on 24 April, 1903, preparatory to going to a private yard for refit.[6] On 18 July, 1904, a number of officers were appointed to Canopus for tactical exercises, amongst whom was Maurice Woollcombe.[7]

In mid-1913, she was in the Third Fleet at The Nore. In July, she was to "proceed to Pembroke Dock".[8]

Radio

In 1901, while serving in the Mediterranean, she had or was slated to receive a Marconi W/T kit.[16]
