H.M.S. Blackwater was one of 36 destroyers of the "River" class.

Service

In late 1905, she was one of eight destroyers in the Third Division of the Channel Fleet's Destroyer Flotilla.[7]

Blackwater was lost off Dungeness in collision with a steamer named Hero. The crew of the steamer said it had fallen in with the flotilla in the Channel and that Blackwater tried to cross her bows and was hit in her starboard quarter.[8]
