H.M.S. B 9 was one of eleven "B" class coastal submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Around October, 1915, B 9 was assigned to the Adriatic Squadron along with sisters B 7 and B 8. At a time when it coastal submarines were enjoying ever-less utility, the Adriatic was well-suited to operations by such handy boats.
