Captain (retired) George Sarsfield Walsh, R.N. (25 August, 1859 – 31 March, 1939) was an officer in the Royal Navy. His son of the same name also served in the Navy.

Life & Career

Walsh was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 11 July 1882.

Walsh resigned his commission on 14 May, 1891.

He was placed on the Emergency List with his commission restored in 1902 and designated a Commander on 11 July, 1905.

On 21 January, 1915 Walsh was appointed to Eagle, additional, for service on the staff of R/A Stileman for duties in connection with armed yachts, trawlers and drifters of the Auxiliary Patrol.

He reverted to the Emergency List from 1 June 1919.
