Captain (retired) George Norman Ballard, C.B.E. (17 January, 1874 – 1 January, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Ballard‘s place of birth was Woburn Square, London.

Ballard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1895.

Ballard was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1906.[1]

Ballard was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Philomel on 19 September, 1911.[2]

Post-War

Ballard was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 15 October, 1922.
