George Henry Oxland

George Henry Oxland, (26 April, 1866 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Plymstock, Devon.
Gunner Oxland was placed in command of Avon at some point prior to late 1905, as he was subjected to a Court-Martial on 12 December for leaving the ship on 2 December. He was acquitted on technical grounds, but an engine artificer had died in an accident while Oxland was away and two other men were punished for various offences.[1]
