Admiral SIR George Francis Hyde (19 July 1877 – 28 July 1937) was an officer in the Royal Navy as well as the Royal Australian Navy.

Life & Career

He was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1912 as a commander.

He was appointed command of the minelayer Adventure.

Postwar

He commanded the Emperor of India and {UK-Marlborough}}, and commanded the Third Battle Squadron.[1]

He took over command of the R.A.N. in 1931, and was promoted to Admiral in 1936.[2]
