Lieutenant-Commander (retired) George Edward Casley (18 May, 1861 – 23 April, 1929) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Casley was made Gunner on 1 March, 1889.

Casley was made Chief Gunner on 30 September, 1909.

Casley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 29 March, 1912.[1]

Casley was appointed in command of the destroyer Boxer on 18 March, 1912.[2]

On 16 December, 1913, Casley was appointed in command of the destroyer Desperate.[3]

Pensioned as medically unfit due to arterio sclerosis and high blood pressure on 16 October, 1918, Casley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Retired List on 29 March, 1920.[4]
