George Arthur Hardinge

THE HONOURABLE Captain George Arthur Hardinge, R.N. (1 September, 1864 – 28 July, 1910) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in South Park, Penshurst, Kent.

Hardinge was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 August, 1885.

Hardinge was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1900.

He was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Æolus on 4 July, 1905.

Hardinge was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1906.

Hardinge was appointed in command of the battleship Ramillies in 1907.

He was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Donegal on 1 February, 1908.

Hardinge was retired as unfit for service on 4 October, 1909. He would die within the year
