Captain R.N.R. (retired) Geoffrey Howard Barnish, D.S.O., R.D., (13 January, 1887 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Born in Wigan. In his civilian career, Barnish sailed in Lusitania and Carpathia. Barnish was captain of the destroyer Fairy on 31 May, 1918 when she rammed and fired upon UC 75, causing her loss.[1]

He was appointed in command of the destroyer Garry on 25 July, 1918.[2]
