Rear-Admiral Frederick William Fane Hervey, Fourth Marquess of Bristol, Royal Navy, Retired (8 November, 1863 – 24 October, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Dresden.

Hervey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in June, 1883, winning the Beaufort Testimonial for that year.

Hervey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1895.

Hervey was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1901.

Hervey was appointed in command of the second class battleship Renown in December, 1907.

Hervey was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Rear-Admiral on 15 May, 1911.
