Vice-Admiral (retired) Frederick George Stopford (10 May, 1852 – ) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Stopford was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December 1897.

In April 1901, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Talbot.

As Captain, he was placed in command of Royal Naval Barracks, Chatham on 5 July, 1904.[1] (Commodore, Second Class from 13 March, 1905.)[2]

Stopford retired on 10 May, 1907.
