Commander Frederick Gascoigne Charsley, D.S.O., R.N. (5 February, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Brighton and raised by his mother.

Charsley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.[1]

Charsley resigned his commission on 5 May, 1909 and was placed on the Emergency List. On 12 August, he was re-instated on the Active List.

Charsley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.

Post-War

Charsley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1920.

Charsley was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 17 July, 1922.
