Commander THE HONOURABLE Francis Robert Sandilands, (12 January, 1849 – 30 July, 1887) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Sandilands was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 23 April, 1872.

In 1875, Pollard was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]

Sandilands was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 November, 1882.

In 1884, Sanidlands was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal. This might have been a clasp, given that it was apparently his second award.[2]

Sandilands died in London on Cadogan Place.
