Rear-Admiral Francis Reginald Barry, R.N. (22 November, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in London, the son of Lt. Arthur Barry of the Royal Navy (or another Barry serving in the Coast Guard at St. Andrews c. 1904).
A special report was called for after Barry delivered unsatisfactory results in the Junior Officers' Afloat Examination in November 1905.
Barry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1908.
Barry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1916.
Barry was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1920.
Barry was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1928.
World War II
Barry was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 5 January, 1940 and was placed on the Retired List the next day.
