Vice-Admiral Eustace Rooke, R.N. (5 September, 1844 – 4 August, 1922) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Rooke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 June, 1866.[1]

In September 1878, Rooke exhibited gallantry in attempting to save life from drowning. In November, he was awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal.

Rooke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1881.

Rooke was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1888.

Rooke was retired due to age on 5 September, 1899. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 24 January, 1902 and to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 11 November, 1906. His widow reported his death occurred on 4 August, 1922.
