Captain (retired) Ernest Hamlyn Bannister Williams, R.N. (14 October, 1882 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Williams was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1905.

Williams was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1917.

Williams was appointed in command of the destroyer Orwell on 4 January, 1912.[1]

On 29 December, 1913, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Vixen.[2]

On 8 September, 1914, Williams was appointed in command of the destroyer Minos.[3]

On 22 May, 1917, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Truculent.[4]

William was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 31 October, 1922 and was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 14 October, 1927.
