Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. Edwin Lanceley Davies, ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Hailed from Liverpool.[1]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Temporary Sub-Lieutenant R.N.R. on 4 February, 1916 and underwent training in paddle minesweepers. In May, he joined the paddle minesweeper Plumpton.[2]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 4 August, 1916 and continued toi serve in Plumpton until being appointed in command of the paddle minesweeper Greyhound II from 24 May, 1918 to 1 July 1919, when he was appointed in command of Sutton. Davies was demobilised on 30 January, 1920.[3]
