Rear-Admiral (retired) Edwin John Pollard, (21 April, 1833 – 15 September, 1909) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Pollard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 3 February, 1855.

In 1858, Pollard was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]

Pollard was promoted to the rank of Commander on 5 August, 1861.

Pollard was promoted to the rank of Captain on 3 April, 1868.

He was placed on the Retired List dated 1 July 1885 with the rank of Rear-Admiral.
