Captain Edward Francis Bold Law (21 March, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of retired Commander Edward G. F. Law, R.N.. Law would become an Assisstant Surveyor.

Law was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1913.

During the early part of the war, Law served in Bacchante, Cumberland and Challenger before being appointed to Astræa for shore service in March 1915.

In March 1916, he returned to England.

Law was appointed in command of the destroyer Relentless on 8 July, 1918.[1]

Law was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1921.

Law was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1927 and appointed in command of the survey ship Flinders. On 24 October, 1927 he was appointed to move to take command of Endeavour.

Law was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1933.

World War II

On 28 July 1942, Law was appointed Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George V, vice D. B. Fisher.

Law was placed on the Retired List on 12 January, 1943.
