Vice-Admiral THE HONOURABLE Edmund Rupert Drummond, C.B., M.V.O., R.N., Retired (8 May, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Leckhampsted.

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1906 and lent for duty under the Canadian government.[1]

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1914.

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1918.

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1925.

Drummond was appointed in command of the light cruiser Capetown in July, 1927.

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 19 July, 1936.

Placed on the Retired List on 25 October 1938.

Drummond was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 1 January, 1940.
