Acting Captain R.N.R. Ebenezer Cook ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

I have been unable to find a Service Record for him at The National Archives.

Life & Career

Cook was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. (temporary) in August, 1914.[1] This appears to be his very entrance into service.

Cook served as navigator in the armed merchant cruiser Victorian from 1915 through early 1918.

Cook was granted the acting rank of Captain R.N.R. on 1 October, 1918 and appointed in command of the armed merchant cruiser Alsatian. He took over command of the ship from Captain Keighly-Peach on 25 October, 1918.[2]
