Admiral Cole Cortlandt Fowler, C.B., R.N., Retired (12 April, 1866 – 9 February, 1934) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Fowler was promoted to Captain on 30 June, 1907.

In February 1909, Fowler assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Furious.[1]

He was appointed to command the armoured cruiser Roxburgh on 15 September 1911 for operations with the Third Cruiser Squadron.[2]

He was appointed to command the battleship Collingwood on 20 March, 1917.[3]

Post-War

He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1919.[4] On 23 April he was appointed Rear-Admiral Commanding the Portsmouth Reserve.[5]

He was gazzetted an Ordinary Member of the Third Class, or Companion, of the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 2 January, 1922.[6]

Fowler was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 31 July, 1924,[7] and advanced to Admiral on the Retired List on 22 February, 1928.[8]
