Commander (retired) Claude Plumer, (17 April, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Lt. Col. F. H. Plumer of the Indian Army, retired.[1]

Plumer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1920.[2]

Plumer was arrested by police and convicted for being drunk on shore in 1926, which prompted an expression of the Admiralty's displeasure.[3]

Plumer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1928.[4]

Plumer was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 January, 1935 and was promoted to the rank of Commander on 17 April, 1940.[5]
