Admiral Claude Edward Buckle, Royal Navy (7 February, 1839 – 7 February, 1930) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Buckle was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 June, 1866.[1]

Buckle was promoted to the rank of Captain with seniority of 22 January, 1877.[2]

Flag Rank

Buckle was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1892.[3]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 11 December, 1897, vice Buller.[4]

He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 6 August, 1903.[5] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, he was placed on the Retired List dated 12 August, at his own request.[6]
