Captain (retired) Christopher Hildyard Ringrose, R.N. (13 November, 1890 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

In 1939, he altered his last name by appending the maiden name of his wife to become Christopher Hildyard Ringrose-Wharton.

Life & Career

The son of a Barrister at Law, C. C. L. Ringrose, Esq..

Ringrose was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1913.

Ringrose was appointed in command of the destroyer Melpomene on 9 April, 1918.[1]

Ringrose was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1921.

Ringrose was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1926.

Ringrose was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 30 April, 1934 and was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 13 November, 1935.
